temperature conditions, are defined as residual stresses. This type of stress is similar to a load stress, and consequently reduces the load capacity of the material during operation. An effective answer can be found only if residual stress measurement is determined quantitatively and qualitatively: the purpose of residual stress measurement is to give an effective quantification of this kind of stress.
